Beyond the Search Bar: How AI is Changing SEO and What it Means for School PR with Laurin Moore

Search engines aren’t what they used to be, and neither is your community. As tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity reshape how families find information, the rules of SEO are evolving fast. Instead of links and keywords, AI search engines now pull direct answers from live content. You want those answers to come straight from your district’s website. Don't let the rest of the internet write your story!

In this interactive lunch-and-learn, Laurin Moore of CESO Communications will unpack how public schools can adapt to this shift. You’ll learn how to make your district website more “AI-friendly,” strengthen your storytelling for both humans and bots, and take practical steps (many free!) that boost your visibility in AI-driven search results.

In her role as communications strategist, Laurin Moore brings a passion for bridging the gap between people and digital spaces. She fell in love with digital design when managing marketing for the Student Center as an undergraduate at Texas State University. She has had a diverse decade of experience since then, building websites and creating marketing plans for multiple businesses as well as Angleton ISD and the AISD Education Foundation. She now focuses on redesigning and managing school district clients' websites. She lives with her husband, David; her son, Harrison; her dog, Silas, and her cat, Basil, near the Texas Gulf Coast and spends as much time as possible at the beach.
